Its about Jon krakauer the author climbs mount Everest, and they get to the top. but they cant stay long because of the altitude and lack of oxygen. they have oxygen tanks. They cant feel anything because it is so cold. They slowly start to descend down when Jon notices that he is running low on oxygen and still has a long way to go until the next check in base where a new oxygen tank is. He briefly takes it off because he is waiting for another group to pass. A guide try's to turn it off for him but instead opens the valve and all the oxygen leaves. He starts to suffocate.
